Baby {e}
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...
I did this photo shoot in December when we were in Utah visiting for Christmas. Poor thing was so upset for most of the shoot, we later found out she had a double ear infection. Breaks my heart. Glad we were able to get a few great shots, babies are SO hard to photograph. Her mommy wanted them done in honor of her FIRST BIRTHDAY. It's is a big deal, turning one! This is cute baby girl Emersyn Jayne. Her mom and I are great friends, going way back when we were roommates in college together. We live over 2,000 miles apart now but have remained close through phone and email. Little EJ is about 6 weeks older than my baby boy so it was a lot of fun to chat during each phase of our pregnancies and compare to how we were feeling and what was going on. I think that experience truly made us closer friends and I will always hold a special place in my heart for them. Just wished we lived closer to each other so our babes could play. Love you guys!

I think moving to this beautiful state really made me more enthusiastic about photography (that- AND giving birth the the cutest baby boy ever!). I am in love with the scenery here, it just does not get any better, and our many over cast days, make for perfect photography lighting conditions. We have gorgeous never ending forests, lakes, the beach, the city of downtown Portland, beautiful orchards, and lots of open land that has not been taken over by builders. My husband's family who lives in Utah, has been coming up to the Pacific Northwest almost every year since he was a little boy. I'd always heard from them "it is SO beautiful there" I never really knew just how beautiful until I could come here and see it all for myself. It really is amazing. I see things differently now, always looking through my lovely little nikon. These are just some of my fav's from last year. Looking at them now has made me really excited for the spring and summer months to come.

The {C} Family
I was flattered when our good friends asked me to do a shoot for them back in December. It was so much fun with the red and green umbrellas as props. Does that lanscape backdrop get ANY better!? Seriously love it. And no, I didn't Photoshop the background at all. I'm telling you- with the cloud cover all of the time, this place is amazing for photography! They are having their first baby in March so we had to get at least one maternity pic. We are doing a full on maternity shoot coming up in a few weeks and I can't wait, thanks for being such a good sport Genny, Love ya!
